Airport Master Plan

Airport Master Plan Cover PageThe purpose of the airport master plan is to identify and schedule, throughout a planning horizon of 20 years, needed improvements to the airfield and terminal facilities to meet anticipated growth. These facility improvements will become necessary in response to anticipated future growth in aviation operations and the expected growth of tourism affecting the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The master plan establishes a developmental approach to respond to current and forecast conditions and includes identification of recommended capital improvements needed to keep pace with increasing aviation operations. Some of the main goals of the plan include:

  • Enhance aircraft safety
  • Reflect community and regional goals
  • Provide reasonable aviation forecasts
